Sony a6000 vs a850 size.jpg

Here's a compelling reason to use the APS-C a6000. It has similar file-level output to the first FF generation of the a900/a850 with MUCH less bulk and weight.
Disregarding DOF issues, this is somewhat of an unfair comparison. As of this date, the Sony a850 has available the heavy but excellent Minolta 28-135mm lens and the a6000 has the tiny and modest quality kit 16-50mm (FOV 24-75mm)
...these two are approx. 4.5 lbs. vs. 1 lb.

Of special note, the only other remarkable thing about this image is that it is the absolute very LAST frame out of my now dead Konica Minolta 7D. ... May you RIP:(

Given that one of the main reasons I decided to use a-mount dSLRs was the in-body image stabilization, I find it strange that all Sony mirrorless is image stabilized at the lens only. Even more strange is that there appears to be AMPLE space behind the image plane in the A7 series of FF mirrorless for an image stabilized sensor. Note how far forward the image plane mark is on the small APS-C a6000. Maybe its a heat, not a space issue.

In my opinion mirrorless cameras are much better, and light to carry round, than APS-C bodies.
That's why I switched to OM-D E-M5 and I'm waiting for a much more stabilized Full-Frame mirrorless body from Sony ;)
