Breiğamerkursandur Ice

Taken at Breiğamerkursandur (along with about 20 other photographers). A black sand beach that is strewn with icebergs that have been calved off of the Breiğamerkurjökull glacier, one of the tongues of the Vatnajökull glacier - which is largest in Europe. A pity we weren't treated to some better light unlike the following day below.

A contrasting day!

I think the soft light works well, and maybe helps emphasize the contrast between the seawater and blue ice. Beautiful.

Very nice choice of exposure. The aqua blue of the ice is fantastic (regardless of the skies).

I love this light Chris! I think it calms the senses even more. BV!

Yes, it is dark light, but with the waves in the background, this image gives out that feeling of cold. Fantastic image. V.

tip-top timing at this tingling moment...the light could have been kinder, yet this still packs a punch..
