Native of Burma, Tibet and Yunnan, Yao live in small villages of the North of Laos. They are of Taoist religion. The women wear an impressive turban and a big lively red boa. We have photographed this one while she was going to the fields to work.

Originaires de Birmanie, du Tibet et du Yunnan, les Yao vivent dans de petits villages du nord du Laos. Ils sont de religion taoïste. Les femmes portent un imposant turban et un grand boa rouge vif. Nous avons photographié celle-ci alors qu’elle se rendait dans les champs pour travailler.
