Fire!

One of nine large brush fires currently burning in our area.
This one is in San Marcos 20 miles north of this vantage point.
There are also fires burning in Carlsbad, Rancho Santa Fe, Escondido, Lakeside and Camp Pendleton.
South of us there are two large fires burning in Mexico which I could see from this hill.

Drought, bone dry conditions, the humidity is 9% right now, and temperatures of almost 100F /38C make this a very dangerous situation for us.

Not good. It's disappointing to read that most of California's wildfires are started by humans. I hope the situation improves soon.

Terrible disaster there, I've seen it on the news and have had you in my thoughts. I hope you and your family will be safe. I complain about our drought, but I shouldn't because it is nothing like CA.

I hope it stays safe for you, we all heard that the drought in California is already extreme and the summer hasn't even started yet! All the water reservoirs are empty, the agriculture for this coming summer is already shot, I wonder what you and the million of people in California will do! I mean, water is as necessary as air for life! I heard they are getting the old desalination plants out of mothball, no choice ... Anyways, stay safe my friend.

Walter, good to see you're at a safe distant from the smoke too. My in-laws are in Carlsbad and they are safe now. School for the kids has been cancelled for tomorrow (Thursday).

Wish you all the best. Keep us up to date from your view.

What a shame. It's been dry over many areas of the country including Wichita. the wheat is barely showing and it should be 10 " high. I any event it's a well done image.
