Rijeka’s market hall occupies three buildings between the harbor and the National Theater, and across from the gorgeous Modello Palace. There are identical green buildings, one selling only meat and the other specializing in dairy, and a third hall, the one closest to the sea, is for fish. Fruit and vegetable vendors are packed into the spaces between the buildings, spilling out into the side alleys and streets.
