Fifteen years ago today, a dozen or so work colleagues and myself
were completing a charity walk of the 96 mile West Highland Way.
Although I participated in a 79 mile walk of the Great Glen Way the
following year I haven't attempted the entire West Highland Way again since.
My colleague Irene Black on the other hand sets off tomorrow for the thirteenth
time to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Relief. In between times she's also
cycled through Africa and from London to Paris as well as trekking through Iceland.
I thought she deserved a special mention today in view of the many thousands of
pounds she's raised for Macmillans over the last 15 years.
