Bisti Beast

Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness, New Mexico view map

One of the amazing thing about the various hoodoos in the Bisti Badlands
is that it takes very little imagination to see faces and animal forms. This
one reminded me of a horned lizard often seen in the desert around Tucson.

Well spotted and captured, Sam, with excellent detail. I can see a lizard or a turtle in the rock.

I see more of an alien emerging from a cocoon.
Nice details and DoF isolation Sam.

I definitely see the turtle as well, but I have never seen a real lizard like the one you mentioned for comparison. Great job of showing all the amazing detail as well. ~V~

a sun-baked turtle came initially to mind, yet there is a clear correspondence with the lizard too...you selected some entrancing details from the maelstrom of evocative forms here......V
