Millipede (Narceus americanus)

One of our most common millipedes in this area. Often found trying to cross trails, their large size makes them very visible. These guys can reach up to a 100mm in length.

Christine, I saw one of these in Connecticut a couple of years ago and I couldn't get over how big it was! Wish we had them here. Great shot of this one!
