Took our rented kayaks and paddled around the sloughs by Redwood City in the San Francisco Bay.

Here the leader of the group is preparing to hike to the cache in the deep mud as the tide was very
low.

Calm waters and lots of fun.

Years ago I was part of a team that rescued someone who tried to walk across the soft mud in the south bay and was stuck.
