On the ear tag of this bear is the signature of Hans Otto Steiff who was the former president of
Steiff in Germany and a direct descendant of the founder, Margarete Steiff G.m.b.H.
Hans Otto and his wife Brigit toured the USA in the mid-1980's, meeting collectors, attending events, and signing Steiff items.
