Curly dock seeds (Rumex crispus)

This is a European plant, now growing commonly in open areas here. I remember as a child in the UK, my grandmother grabbing a handful of dock leaves when I rubbed against stinging nettle, and telling me the dock leaves would soothe the 'sting'. I can't remember if they did.

So beautiful Christine...yes the dock leaves certainly soothed the nettle sting and very quickly too...Nature is wonderful as usually not far from a nettle patch you will find the dock growing...BV
