Selfie with me and Milwaukee Road E57B. I'm not usually too interested in electric locomotives, but for whatever reason I decided to drive down and see this one, I'm really glad I did, as it is one of the most impressive pieces of Railway equipment I have seen.
June 15th, 1974, this locomotive stopped at the roundhouse track in Harlowton Montana at 11:40 PM and Milwaukee Road's 656 miles of electrified railway was shut down. This particular locomotive was built by General Electric in 1915, is rated at 1500 horsepower and weighs 144 tons.
