American Heroes

Fargo Air Museum

I am not meaning myself with that title. (Go Canada)

Myself standing in front of an flying and operable Avenger Torpedo bomber. This Avenger in particular is one that was involved with the mission that sank the Japanese super battleship Yamoto in April 1945.

The best part about this particular plane, the pilot who flew it in the war is still alive and frequently hangs out at the museum to talk to people.

Also behind the right wing, you can see a memorial that has the dog tags from every North Dakota serviceman/women who has served in action in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Wonderful Matt
The sad takeaway though is that wall of tags is too easily seen by just the sheer number hanging there.
