Well, the scanning project continues. Today I hit another milestone: this is frame 7000 in my project. Still lots to go. By this time I am geting pretty good at the technical side of the project. My color control is much improved over what it was last November when I got restarted. Probably the most time consuming thing is identifying some of the photos. For example, today I am working on some that were clearly taken at Camp Strake, but I am not sure what activity they were from. So I do my best to guess. Bottom line in all this is that it is very exciting to go back and look at these photos. This particular one was taken on our first day in Yellowstone National Park on our excellent summer vacation adventure of 1995. Here the family is heading out on the trail to Geyser Hill after watching Old Faithful do its thing. |
