but these views are not what you expect to see of Barcelona.

Never mind, Traveller: nor did I stay at the «W» or any other belonging to the big choice of luxury hotels in downtown Barcelona, but there are so many less expensive establishments availabe that there is no need to worry. — Thanks for your comment on my entries: it is reassuring after having read K's opinion that «the eye of the viewer gets lost in ... details» in the first image of the three. I think both photos will stay in the gallery. ~ db.

I am surprised! thank you, Sir...but I can say I won't be staying at "W;" I can't afford it...lol. I like the first image a lot...but then I am a wide angle guy....and the whole foreground building is...very different, so it is good that you see all of it.

Thanks a lot, K, for your—as always—friendly words. This image is also my own favorite of the three. But the first one may be—at least for those knowing Barcelona—the most «surprising» one ;-)) db.

Daniel, thank you for kicking off the challenge with this nice images. I do have not the smallest intention to dictate what I see as on or out of topic. You and only you as an author, decide what to post. The creativity in the topic interpretation (up to creaziness :-) ) is mostly welcome.
I personally like this picture the most - here you see the two different styles the best.
On the first picture is quite busy and the eye of the viewer get lost in so many details so that your idea is not so clear.
