Home from travel and adventure is always a bitter sweet thing. My bed last night was the most wonderful thing after laying on the Serta Perfect Torture Slab I "rested on" while I was in Maui.
Working for me today was about paying penance for 7 days out of the games we play in the software world. After work it was Costco for stuff, then a grocery store for more stuff and all the other things that life pushes at us like a slow avalanche of bills, runs to the post office and having to clean cat crap out of a litter box. (oh, don't forget getting gas and picking up the dry cleaning). Home. It's where the chores are.
Dinner tonight? Here was Tracy's at 8:30 pm after doing make up homework with Sarah and then Cheer practice and chauffeuring kids around after school…
Welcome Home.
I can't remember ever seeing someone enjoy popcorn so much as I did tonight watching her eat this. Yeah- I've said it before and I'll say it again.
It's good to be home!
