Fudge

Yes, that's sunlight shining through the window on Fudge.
We had a welcome break from the constant wind and rain today although unfortunately I didn't get out to enjoy it as I had to go shopping.
I don't really approve of Sunday shopping, not for any religious reasons I hasten to add, as I think that six days a week are enough for the wheels of commerce to grind and shop workers deserve some time off with their families.
A combination of bad weather and bad health meant that the cupboards were pretty bare, so a trip to Newry was required to stock up on essentials, especially pet essentials.

"Perhaps you are not reading my expression correctly, hoomin, but about my walk..."
I must confess that I'm in favour of Sunday trading; I still recall the bad old days when shops were only open until noon on Saturdays. Though I'm not so much looking at it from the consumer point of view as the shop workers'. First with unemployment (REAL unemployment including under-employment, not the Bravo Sierra headline number that governments like to quote quote) being what it is we need jobs wherever they can be found. Secondly (especially when weekend penalty rates are applied, as they should be in a just world (as opposed to the one we live in, I know)) it gives the workers a chance to boost their income to meet the costs of living given that the base money in retail is generally in the "not exciting" category.

Lovely photo of Fudge enjoying the sun. I agree with you about the 6 days of shopping but the seventh is very handy in an emergency! v

Beautiful image of Fudge soaking up the sun...We haven't had any sun for ages in fact in the whole of January we had just 7 hours...BV

very nice picture of Fudge. On the Sunday shopping thing, I must disagree, it gives some extra time to busy working women to get to the stores with husband or kids. Here Sunday has become the busiest shopping day of the week because of the high number of working women
