With some time to kill during lunchtime today, I wandered into the Augustinian Church in Drogheda.
I was delighted to discover the light streaming through this beautiful stained glass window by Irish artist Harry Clarke.
It was originally installed in the tower in 1927, but as the tower was never finished, it was relocated to the front of the church in 1979.
As I was taking photos of the window, a man asked me why I was interested in them.
As I explained a bit about their history (which I had just read on a plaque underneath them), he admitted that he had never given them a second glance before.
Taking a good look at them, he agreed that they were beautiful.
That's why I love photography - it makes you observe things which you mightn't notice otherwise.
