Many times when you get a new piece of electronic gear, various cables and doodads are included in the package. Sometimes they are not needed. In that case I have been piling them on my desk in the back room for many years. A few weeks ago I decided to go through them and see what I had. I had tons of modular telephone cords, AV patch cords, video cables, USB cables, ethernet cables and firewire cables. Included in the pile were the things you see here. I bought a computer many years ago which has since gone to the trash bin in the sky. It was an HP laptop that was supposed to be the ultimate multimedia center. I never used it for that, and I put the parts required for that on the desk top. Well, I found all the parts. I can't use it on any computer that I now have. The laptops don't come with slots any more. Makes sense, almost anything you need hooks up the the multitude of connectors on the sides of the machine. Anyway, the components are listed and selling on ebay, so we will see what it brings. I even have the instructions.

Getting money for the things one is getting rid of qualifies the seller for the oak leaf cluster for the Recovering Pack Rat merit badge. Onward!
