Yesterday, was our neighbor Raymond Crouthamel Gross' service
March 10, 1925 - December 25, 2013
Raymond Gross wrote this poem ...
"The shimmering mirage dances across our dry fields.
The corn and alfalfa are pleading for the dew of Herman.
The giver of life will send relief in His time.
To till the land and love it is humbling and rewarding.
To know that our planting is so small a part;
To know that the yield is beyond our doing;
To know that a higher power bring forth the fruit:
To accept this, the tiller becomes a part of the cycle of life."
