This female Snowy Owl was a bit far off for my 400mm lens, but with many thanks to fellow pbaser Gary Fairhead (photofair) for lending me his bigger 500mm lens, I was able to get this shot of her, my first good shot of a Snowy Owl and my first photo of 2014. I hadn't been out at all this new year so far until this day because of the flu which kept me out for the first two weeks of the year.
