DSV root crown

This image shows two dog-strangling vine plants. Each huge root crown shows why it is impossible to get rid of the plants simply by pulling. One plant is usually comprised of anywhere up to 20 plant stems, each stem producing seedpods. Digging up the root crown is essential to ensure all parts of the plant are removed, but... this is simply not practical when the plants have spread over a large area.
