Tightening lugnuts pulls bearing carrier off axle. With carrier off, another large socket is used to tap wheel bearing out of carrier.

Machining note: combination of axle and carrier needs to be lathe-turned down approximately 1/32" in diameter -- just enough to fit inside "hat" of disc.
