Very nice to see an old steamer at the head even if there is a diesel behind it. The bridge is interesting too.

Thanks for adding this one to the exhibition! It's really fun to see some old film shots once in awhile. That engine really tells its age too; a mere 25 years ago!

This locomotive was the last steam engine to be built for the Union Pacific - in 1944. It has been on their roster ever since. This event was a special excursion train that the UP sponsored in 1989 from Portland to Bend Oregon. Thanks, -Mike

What an image from the past! Here steam machines let its place in the railways to the diesel or electric powered ones much before the '80s. It's quite curious for me to see this "modern" steam locomotive. endika
