Yellow Birch

#8 Trees.

'Betula alleghaniensis'
I have several large self planted yellow birch growing around my property.
Birds - in particular downy, hairy and red-bellied woodpeckers, brown creepers and nuthatches
frequent them in search of larvae hiding in the curling bark.
