Thanks to everyone for expressing your enjoyment and comments on my Facebook post, "In Honor of My Father", on what would have been his 100th birthday on January 8, 2014.

I wanted to add one more image to this story line.
After I returned from my only trip to Italy in 1975 and my visit to my father's village, Soveria Mannelli, a friend of my sister and her husband who was a painter saw my photograph of my father's childhood home.
He asked if he could do a painting from my photograph. Months later, he gave this painting to me.

I have had it hung in all the places I have lived for almost 40 years.
It now hangs in our bedroom. It's just another memory of my father's heritage that I cherish.
