Good shot, and this may just be his Nicitating membrane. Often I have taken shots in a burst, some will have this, while others have a clear eye

Bea, great colors and a super shot. Many birds have a nictitating membrane that covers their eyes at times, almost like with a blink. It moistens and cleans their eye. I think that might be what you see here. If it stays more than a moment, then it could be eye damage or cataract as mentioned. See:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nictitating_membrane

Beautifully detailed image, Bea. Her eye does look blind, but I hope she is otherwise well.
