Sunset from Blanchard Mountain

The sky was filled with quickly moving clouds and as the sun was dropping lower and lower in the sky toward sunset it would periodically break through various openings and bathe the water and islands below me in glorious light and shadow.

The water in the lower part of the frame is Samish Bay, then moving upward the first island is Samish Island, then Padilla Bay, then Fidalgo Island (and the city of Anacortes). Continuing upward you can see the Olympic Mountains.
