... Well, see the thing is, the really key and vital point that you need to understand, is this.
I'm posting this shot about 2 months after I took it.
And I have absolutely no sodding idea on Earth why I took it. There were a whole bunch of shots in the folder for this day, all similar and taken from this spot and I have not the first clue why I did so. Nothing immediately stands out as important or even particularly interesting.
The only thing that it might have been is because of what I said in the PAD for a few days back about documenting the environment that you're in. The headland across the way is the Barangaroo (Hungry Mile) development. Back in the depression days this was a series of cargo docks where men would queue in the hope of work for hours, hence the original name of The Hungry Mile. It is now being redeveloped into... well, let's not get started on that, that's a long story. The point is that if you look at this shot a year from now, you'll be seeing a very different skyline in the direction that we're looking.
I decided to crop down into a wide angle format to emphasise that, on the assumption that that might, possibly, have been what I was thinking about then.
