Siena has wonderful views all along the medieval streets where you happen to find yourself walking
Fortunatly most of the historic center surrounding the Campo and Palazzo Publico area, is closed to motorized traffic
except for service vehicles. Taxis and busses let you off in a piazza at the beginning of the street shown here,
and from there on, you are on your own to walk to your destination.
The buildings are beautiful and shops are charming, and food is never more than a few steps away.
Lots of uphill and downhill slopes, so have on your good walking shoes !
