We visited the Tuzigoot (Two-zee-gute) National Monument, an ancient hilltop pueblo of the Sinagua indians. The site was deserted around A.D. 1400. The name of the site was given by an Apache member of the early excavation crew, and means "crooked water." "Tuzigoot" is really a fun word to say, and we came up with our own translation: "Is this all there is?"
