A father holds his little boy, while the child gets to take his very own picture of this very famous "Deposition from the Cross" made by Michelangelo.
The "Deposition" (also known as the Bandini Pieta or "Lamentation over the Dead Christ") is often overlooked in the Museo del Duomo in Florence.
It is one of four Pieta's that Michelangelo sculpted, the most famous being the one in St. Peters Basilica in Rome.
Michelangelo worked on this Pieta between 1547 and 1553.
The sculpture shows Nicodemus or Joseph of Aramithea supporting the sagging body of Jesus Christ just taken down from the Cross.
Mary Magdelene and Mary, Christ's mother are shown on either side of the central axis of the sculpture.
