Suburbia.

It's the perfect mulch, designed by nature and offered for free.
It insulates the ground over the winter, protecting roots.
It breaks down over the summer to enrich the soil.
Yet we blow it away, rake it up,
then bag it so it can be hauled to the landfill or incinerator.
What's wrong with this picture?

Great capture. I agree with your comments and I try to recycle as much as I can. I suppose though that in the landfill, at least, it is not entirely wasted Barry
