great photo. I love how everything but the Big White is delicately desaturated. Nice!

PS: this big L mark II is a lens out of this world (with a price of match). Best portrait zoom in the Canon lineup. But IF you seriously think to buy it, I would rent it first - it is both very big and very heavy. 70-200/4 IS might just be what you need, for half the price and at half the weight.

Hope Santa-Claus will be kind with you :) !!!!
Helen Betts21-Dec-2013 08:12
Yikes, that does look enormous. Hope you get what you want! V.
Walter Otto Koenig16-Dec-2013 16:20
Nice, every photographer should have the 70-200 f/2.8.
Penny B16-Dec-2013 13:20
Maybe Santa will bring you that for Christmas. ;)
Mairéad08-Dec-2013 21:34

It is a great lens. I love my 2.8 and the MarkII is supposed to be even better.

Hope you get one too!
Linda Matta02-Dec-2013 16:56
For some reason, I thought it would pack more of a punch than 200mm! Hope Santa's good to you :)
Mieke WA Minkjan02-Dec-2013 08:11
good luck to you Stephanie that you will find it under the Christmas tree!
Janice Dunn02-Dec-2013 04:36
If you were closer I'd get it for you, but the postage is just too much!!
No, I would really like an 85mm lens - but would I use it? And who would ever buy it for me??
LynnH02-Dec-2013 00:51
Good idea for selective color. Can only imagine how cool it would be to have a big lens like that.
Sheila01-Dec-2013 23:20
I'll sell you mine. I hardly ever use it :-)
Bill Ewart Jr01-Dec-2013 22:15
They always say it's not the camera that takes the good picture! It's the photographer.
And of course, the lens~ :)
Frank Brault01-Dec-2013 20:06
A beautiful lens and terrific image. V
John Lamb01-Dec-2013 19:36
Will it make you a better photographer?
Ray :)01-Dec-2013 18:13
Go the whole hog and buy a 100-400 :-)

I am very happy with my Zuiko/Olympus 50-200. So I can imagine why you want this one.
Well done.
Range View 01-Dec-2013 11:05
If i could only have one lens i would keep my 70-200 f4.
David.
