November 29

Sugar Land, Texas

Vincent Godsiff and a bug.

We did some garden chores this afternoon. It was warm and sunny,
so much better than the past week which was unusually cold and rainy.
The Kumquats seem to be okay after the frost on Thursday night.
We covered the bush with old sheets held by clothes pegs.

Meanwhile, far away from my peaceful garden...
thousands of (I think) mad and foolish people braved
the BLACK FRIDAY shopping rampage.
I don't like crowds, even if it means missing out on the $98 32inch HDTV or cheap Ipads.
Speaking of Christmas Spirit... here is a video from someone's Black Friday excursion to Walmart.

Lovely rose and accessory; nice shot!
Taking time to tend and smell the roses is definitely more worthwhile..

Your bargain hunters even made our TV news bulletin Lynn, much rather enjoy this
gorgeous little rose! v

Much better to stay and smell the beautiful roses than face the madness of the shopping mania! V

A lovely rose and it sounds like you had a much more pleasant day than those battling for bargains. V

The garden sounds so much more fun than fighting the crowds in the shops.

So pretty colors, it's delightful to see this, we had some snowfall last night, it looks almost black and white here...
Thank you for the video, how can people be so foolish -

So richly detailed beauty. V

I love the details in this full blown rose. I prefer roses opened where the insides can be seen, unlike florists' flowers of tight bullets. We are still cold, had ice and frost this morning.
