Salt of the earth

Let´s drink to the hard working people...

'Salt of the earth' is a song from the album 'Beggars Banquet' (1968) and my second all time favourite by the Stones.

The Stones had not played this song for 21 years, until they were joined on stage by members of Guns N´ Roses during their Steel Wheels/Urban Jungle Tour in 1989.
Given a choice, Axl and Izzy of Guns N´ Roses chose 'Salt of the Earth'. The Stones had forgotten it and had to listen to it to remember.
