Zakim View

Boston, MA

*** Best view at "original" size ***

The view of the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge from the hotel room. This shot
was a little more challenging to get because I had to get the camera as high as possible to get
over the hotel roofline. So I took the waste basket from the bathroom and placed that upside
down on top of a dresser drawer resting on its side. The waste basket was not flat bottomed so
I used some tea bags to try to keep the camera somewhat level. It took a few tries but I managed
to get a couple of shots where the image wasn't too blurred from "tripod" instability. I'm a little
bummed that I didn't think to take a picture of that contraption because it sure was funny looking.

Click on the images below for larger views of other shots of this bridge from a different trip to Boston:

Sam, you;re supposed to use bean bags not tea bags. Very creative improvisation and a nice result. V
