Once you get to the opening of Skyline Divide, you'll see Baker behind a... nubbin (ie relatively small ridge). There's a footpath that goes up to that nubbin... but then there's another one beyond it. Once you hit this ridge, you'll have a fairly decent / unobstructed view of Baker, with views of the Cascades, including Mt Shuksan (seen in this image to the left) and Chowder Ridge to the right. I've been to Chowder Ridge in the past and assume that the potential images from up there are even better (I recall the ability to see the Puget Sound from up there). Note that due to the location of Skyline Divide / Chowder Ridge, the ideal time to shoot Mt Baker is going to be either early am (perhaps) or late afternoon / sunset (best)... which usually means that you might have to camp out...
