Santa Maria de los Reyes Church
The main doorway is one of the most beautiful Gothic doorways of any church in Spain. There are five archivolts that are richly decorated. There is a representation of the Virgin and Child, as well as the Apostles. The tympanum is sculpted. Besides the human figures there are vegetal decorations. The first archivolt is decorated with the figures of angels with musical instruments. The second archivolt has vegetal decoration. The third has the figures of the Virgins and saints. The fourth is vegetal and the last has the figures of prophets and kings. Presiding over the figures of the Twelve Apostles is the large figure of the Virgen de los Reyes. This figure stands over an elevated pedestal.
