Lying in the Conchas de Haro and Portal de La Rioja area, on the banks of the river Ebro, Briñas is the gateway to the region from the Basque Country. In 2006, it had 251 inhabitants.In the middle of August the Virgin de la Asunción fiestas are held in Briñas. Traditionally there is wine tasting where everyone is able to enjoy the excellent wines that are made in this town. Experts and amateurs alike manage to come together to discuss the world of wine. Afterwards, other typical products made in the town are served.
