I've been thinking about getting into aerial photography for some time and finally made the plunge. The problem in the past was I was always afraid to put a camera up in the air when I knew nothing about flying radio controlled aircraft. Well, DJI Innovations solved that problem with this model. It's the DJI Phantom 2 Vision. It's simple to fly and operates on a GPS system so if you take your hands off the control unit, it just hovers and maintains its position and altitude. It broadcasts a wifi network so if you have a smart phone (iOS or Android) you can connect to the network and it sends a feed from its camera to your phone. You can see on your phone what the helicopter camera is seeing and you operate the camera from your phone. Pretty slick, huh?
