Fading Beauty

It's mid-November and still there are roses.
Admittedly these are fading beauty but they are roses none the less.

Strange combination. You can still see the pink freshness in the rose but they're encased in what looks like a death shroud. The horizontal angle supplements this contrast well, the flower seemingly poised between reaching up to life and dropping down to death.
