The secondary focuser is an optional extra. It's also used to precisely adjust the mirror spacing / back focus.
You'll also notice the ribbon cable on the bottom spider is not covered to prevent light scattering. In a little plastic bag I found some flocking to attach with a note and a picture of how to apply it. Such is Officina Stellare's attention to detail. Impressive.
