I was drawn to this impressive granite gravestone in Largo Cemetery
as it reminded me of the ancient Celtic crosses found on Iona.
It was only after taking this picture that I discovered the grave
was that of Sir John Gilmour, Home Secretary from 1932-1935 under
Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald. He was also Secretary of State for
Scotland in the earlier Cabinet of Stanley Baldwin.
It's amazing what you can learn from a stroll in the countryside!
