My Mum and Dad gave us these tea light glasses. My Mum muttered something about worrying about me setting things on fire…
She’s right to worry – I have a bad track record on this issue although to date have failed to do any significant damage. I once set the wallpaper on fire when a home-made Christmas decoration with a candle in it caught fire while I was snoozing off Christmas dinner one year, a very long time ago. Since we’ve lived here, I’ve set the cooker on fire by shutting it up with the grill on full blast and a grill pan full of crumbs and dripped fat.
So, she’s right to worry and now if I want candles, I can have them without setting the house on fire! Shame I can't be trusted not to metaphorically burn down other stuff!
