Close..to a rose

A horrible wet dreary day outside so I decided to get close to a rose.
While I'm still following this month's scavenger hunt challenge, I'm so far behind with commenting that I'm not going to post to the forum.

YOU'RE behind? You posted this over a month ago. Macros are usually good value. In the case of this one I like the lines (from the leaves in the background) that seem to be either radiating out of it or, if one shifts one's perception the other way, forcing the rose out from the background.

It's a beautiful rose and I love the detail and depth of field and how the pastel pink repeats in the background. It has an ephemeral feel. V.

Great detail with those 'veins'! I gave up all that forum stuff - it became somthing to endure rather than enjoy and if you're not enjoying it, why bother?
