Albuquerque was full of surprises as we thought the Balloon Festival was the only show
in town. We were happy to learn otherwise, as the BioPark was a great way to spend an
afternoon in between Balloon Festival sessions. The BioPark has an aquarium (not too bad
considering this is not near a coast), a botanical garden, and a huge zoo. The number of
animals on display really caught me by surprise because I was expecting something on the
order of Tucson's zoo. It seemed like it was really much closer to the San Diego Zoo in size.
