Morning me after sleeping in my car at Camp, Washington in the Colockum Wildlife Area. I had to drive gingerly to avoid sharp rocks. After this pleasant respite I drove down rough roads to West Bar, site of some huge ripples caused by Ice Age floods. I would not have made it without four-wheel drive. "Camp" is the name of this site per the USGS topographic map, probably referring to the survey marker here.
In spite of the sharp basalt stones, Joe Tripod stood
his ground to make this picture a reality.
