Dark

Another shot borrowed from the TV. We are quite safe, these are in NSW not Qld where I live
but still we Aussies feel for our own when each year we see this type of losses.
Today the fires have flared again and I have heard that the lovely Zig Zag Railway has been destroyed
near Lithgow and now the town is under threat.
Here is a link to the photos I took in 2007 after our Pbase Meet in Melbourne with Sheila and JW. He had been there the week before.

Definitely frightening. A real shame about the railway, but I read it will rise from the ashes. Also I see somebody lost a cherished 1958 bus, but in the end it is the lives that are really important.

The daily scenes on TV are tragic and heart-rending. The fire-fighters are performing heroic deeds and our cash donations hardly begin to deal with rebuilding lives of folks who have lost everything.
