The gate pillar
It´s topped by a four sided stones piece with orange trees in bas-relief that culminate in another orange tree, made from antimony. This evokes the free adaptation of the Garden of Nymphs mith that Verdaguer made in L´Atlàntida. Hercules confronts the dragon to seize some golden oranges, in order to win Queen Hesperis´heart. For not defending the garden properly, Ladon is converted into the Dragon Constellation.
